I've thought or have sort of tried this for a long time. I've long considered making things and selling them on places like Etsy and Ebay. My brother's business is partially done through Etsy, doing metal fabrication and CNC plasma work. From what I learned from him, the time you put into making something needs to be justified by the price and the demand of the product. He recommends easily made and replicated products that can be zipped together and sent out. I tend to agree. Does anyone else make money doing this?

I don't, but one of my great friends boyfriend is a Native American artist who does 100% of his work online. It's a lot of work, but he's doing pretty well for himself. It did take him awhile to build his name up, so all I would say is be patient and make sure you make something people want to buy :)
