Biden's tax hike may be more narrow than we think

President Biden proposed a tax hike. I always hear it every time a Democrat takes office - "oh, here we go, we're gonna get a out legs taken out from underneath us because he's gonna tax us to no end." Those who believe that or are worried about that may feel a bit at ease, at least with this initial tax hike, which I'm sure more will be coming. The White House press secretary Jen Psaki clarified that the hike would only apply to people who earn $200,000 a year and they are married to someone who makes the same amount. The threshold will apply to families rather than individuals. That's kind of a relief for the rest of us who don't have that sort of income. :)

Yep. Had a debate with a friend over the definition of 'upper class' and 'rich' and he was trying to make the case that 400k isn't rich. Welp I beg to differ and I'm sure so do the other 99% of us that don't make that.

So true. Even 100k a year is rich to me.

So is it for households making $400k or above, or does this also apply to individuals making $200k or more? Not that I'm either myself, just curious.
