The numbers are out and in looks like the Unites States Treasury Dept and the IRS have now sent out $242 billion in stimulus checks so far. That's a little more than half of the total sum of $410 billion that's set aside for stimulus checks that are currently being distributed. The numbers I saw said the $242 billion was sent to around 90 million households. It also said that the average payments per check are $2689. That's a little more surprising to me. I thought the checks were $1400 on average, but I guess a majority receiving them so far have been those that claim children as well.

These are pretty big numbers. It's cool to see the money being distributed like this. Hopefully the rest of it gets sent out without a hitch.

Yeah it's up to $1400 per individual so a two parent households with say 2 kids would get upwards of $5600.

I didn't know they even when up that high. I thought it was capped out at 2 children per household. $5600 per family is a pretty solid amount.
