A motto to live by is "buy once, cry once"

I recently learned the "buy once, cry once" motto the hard way with purchasing some new tech. I decided to cheap out a bit and try to save money here and there on certain aspects. But low and behold, I should have just gotten the more expensive version of it so I didn't have to deal with the little annoyances that come with the lower quality build. Now the product is used and I can't return it. So anyways, just thought I'd remind everyone that it's usually a good idea to fork over for the better version of a product if you can. Except for the undercoating. Never get the undercoating!

Yup I learned that many times with tools. Cheap drills are the worst. So are 'bargain' TVs. Oh, and never get the TruCoat either. Wink

I've learned this one over the years too. The older I get, the more I make, the better stuff I can afford, the longer it lasts. That's how its basically gone for me with cars, furniture, electronics and even food. Oh and kitchen stuff too, appliances, cookware, pretty much anything its usually worth it in the long run to go with quality if you can.
