I've never played myself, and always heard about Mega Millions and Powerball. These amounts are ridiculous when you put them into perspective, especially if just one person won, which out of all of them, it was the biggest in Mega Millions history (so far) and was won by just one person who wished to remain anonymous. Luckily they lived in South Carolina, which is one of the few states where you can choose to remain anonymous. I don't blame them. Here are the top three winning amounts for the Mega Millions lottery.

    1. $1.537 billion Oct. 23, 2018

    2. $648 million Dec. 17, 2013

    3. $656 million March 30, 2012

Looks like the next estimated is around $500 million. I'll ask the age old question? What would you do with it if you won? One smart decision and one silly one, go!

Invest, retire early and make sure my whole family is taken care of.

Buy land and build my own disc golf course.

Set up family for sure, then open a business. Or two. Float shop (with very low rates to make floatation tanks more accessible to those that aren't rich) and then a documentary company. Would be cool to not ever have to worry about money and just go around looking for cool stories worth turning into documentaries.

Really liking the documentary company idea.

I'd buy a large RV and just live in it and travel all over the country. But this RV would be like tour bus size. Then I'd set up a chain of stores of some kind. Or perhaps even open up a restaurant.
